That's a great secondary step. But the bigger problem remains: the deed was still recorded in your personal name. And as soon as that happens, the data brokers scrape your information and begin selling it to any website or person who wants it ... all of which often happens before the records can be effectively redacted.
We can help in all 50 states + Washington D.C.
Not at all. While this program was originally founded in 2013 for law enforcement, it has been used for service members of many of the federal law enforcement agencies, SPEC OPS in the military, prosecutors & district attorneys, corrections officers, defense attorneys, sheriffs deputies, politicians, domestic abuse survivors and more. We welcome anyone who may have "bad guys" looking for them to take advantage of the program.
Unfortunately, the VA does not allow for the full & complete implementation of the Homes4Cops program. We have written Representatives in Congress and Senators asking for Veterans to have the same access to protection of their property and families as everyone else - so their VA benefits aren't a burden in this instance - but it is currently still prohibited.
